It was a devastating end to the quarterfinals for JR Celski in the 1000 meter short skate quarterfinals.
The Filipino American came in a disappointing fourth place, knocking him out of the competition, reports the Bleacher Report.
The frustration follows Monday’s disappointing fourth place finish in what was thought to be Celski’s best shot at the gold, the 1500 meter.
He still has two more chances at the gold– the 500-m short track event as well as 5,000 meter relay.
The US Short Track program has been in turmoil of late. You can read about that in the Bleacher Report.
