Malaya Watson has advanced to the top 13 of American Idol, reports ABS CBN.
The Filipino American from Michigan earned the final 10th spot of the night through an audience vote. The final three spots were selected by the judges as wild cards.
Left behind was fellow Filipino American Marrialle Sellars of Indianapolis.
