An Indian American student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has come up with a way to increase the number of likes of the photos you post in Facebook, reports News Track India (Photo by Sean MacEntee).
Aditya Khosla and his team analyzed more than two million photos on Flickr to see if he could see any similarities in the photos that generated a lot of likes.
He found that photos that included images of “brassieres”, “revolvers”, “miniskirts”, “bikinis” and “cups” tended to be more popular.
“Some people have 10 friends, some have a thousand. Despite all these differences, it is interesting to see that the content of the image itself can be used to predict how popular an image is going to be,” Khosla was quoted as saying in the Huffington Post.
The colors aqua, bright red, navy and chartreuse also seem to lead to more likes while junk greenish and blue-gray hues tended to be less popular.
