News anchor/reporter Ann Curry and vocalist Judith Hill will be among the honorees at the V3con Digital Media Conference put on by the Los Angeles chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association, reports Rafu Shimpo.
The Conference will take place tonight and Saturday at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.
Curry will receive the Visibility Award tonight during the opening reception. She is currently an international reporter for NBC after her much publicized shortened stint on Today as a co-host.
Hill is best known as the vocalist who was scheduled to do a duet with Michael Jackson, but instead ended up singing a tribute to the pop superstar at his memorial. She was also a finalist on the NBC singing competition, The Voice.
Also honored will be the LA Time’s Pulitzer Prize winning food writer Jonathan Gold.
