Jeremy Lin and Kobe Bryant share the same birthday–tomorrow, August 23.
The back court mates with the Lakers now have something else in common. They both have wax figures of themselves in museums.
Madame Tussauds in San Francisco debut its Jeremy Lin figurine yesterday with Lin and members of his family present.
It took 20 artists and three to four months to complete the piece.
The Laker uniform was a late addition with the trade coming down just last month.
Lin told TWC Sportsnet he was impressed. “It’s very accurate. It definitely looks like me, especially if I take my glasses off it even looks more like me.”
Lin also talks about his future with the Lakers and his expectations that his mom will get revenge after he pied her in the face yesterday on his birthday. You can hear about that on TWC Sportsnet.
Lin also made a vague reference to the birthday pie in his post on Instagram, thanking the museum “for helping him patch things up with his mom, haha.”
