An anti-terrorist training program scheduled for next week in Arizona’s Maricopa County is being criticized for preaching hate, reports the Arizona Central.
The session is titled Understanding the Threat and will be taught by a controversial former FBI agent, John Guandolo.
“He’s got a hateful message,” said Dan Pochoda , legal director of the ACLU of Arizona. “It’s so symbolically wrong because it’s a message of hate and racism.” Muslim American leaders also joined Pachoda in expressing their concerns.
However, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery defended the planned session saying they have been mischaracterized. You can hear his response below.
