A 61-year old man was killed when a stranger pushed him into an oncoming subway train, reports the New York Times.
Police say based on witness accounts that the attack appears to be random and done by a stranger.
The victim has been identified as Wai Kuen Kwok. His wife was standing beside him when the attack occurred. The two were on their way to Chinatown.
Authorities released a video of a person wanted for questioning in the case. It shows the man walking into the subway station, and then leaving. He is seen pausing outside the station while smoking a cigarette after exiting the station.
“Please tell the world he is a fine, regular family man,” said his son, Gary Kwok, 29.
