Michelle Wie is having the best season of her professional career, but she’s not satisfied.
She aiming to be the number 1 ranked professional golfer on the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, reports SB Nation.
I worked really hard all year to try and get to No. 1,” said Wie. “I was really close. That kind of gets me going for next year, something to look forward to, really motivates me.”
The Hawaiian-native ended the season ranked number 6 on the tour. Inbee Park of South Korea is number 1.
The highlight of Wie’s year was her victory in the US Women’s Open, her first victory in a major in her career.
