Police in Middlesex County, New Jersey are investigating their fifth home invasion robbery in just a matter of weeks, reports NJ.com.
The latest robbery may be connected to a string of home invasions targeting Indian American families in the area. The other four robberies occurred during the weeks of October 19 and 26.
As in previous robberies, the victims were tied up and robbed of cash and jewelry.
“We are scared,” said Peter Kothari, a local Indian American community leader. “People in power don’t understand. I’m lucky I’m not a victim like that. I know that if I have to pass one minute with a gun on my head, how would I feel?”
