Snow turned into slush on the 16th annual Lunar New Year parade on Sunday in New York City, but that didn’t stop the hundreds of people from viewing the parade along side snow piled sidewalks. The families of the late NYPD Detectives WenjianLiu and Rafael Ramos were honorarium grand marshals.
By 1pm, the sky turned blue and the anxious parade floats were on stand-by at the corners of Hester and Mott Streets, just nearby Little Italy. The parade started off with explosive pops of confetti and the floats started to roll. Happy Lunar New Year to all of our readers!
