Two long time television characters played by Asian Americans have made their final performances in first run episodes, reports Guy Aoki in Rafu Shimpo.
After 7 seasons, both The Mentalist on CBS and Parks and Recreation on NBC have wrapped up their final seasons. Actors Tim Kang and Aziz Ansari were a big part of both shows.
Kang played agent Kimball Cho, a no nonsense by the book character. He even had a brief love interest on the program.
Ansari played the ‘out there’ character Tom Haverford. His performance on Parks and Rec helped Ansari build a loyal fan base.
