Patil now skateboards his way to his White House Office as Obama’s Chief Data Scientist and Deputy Chief Technology Office for Data Policy.
According to Yahoo News, his job is to harness, protect, and analyze hundreds of thousands of federal data sets, which cover everything from healthcare, mandatory sentencing in California prisons, educational apps, and more.
“Literally, data can save lives,” Patil said.
