Lost in the discussion about the lack of diversity in Silicon Valley, is the glass ceiling holding back Asian Americans, reports Fast Company.
A new report by the non-profit Ascend Foundation found while Asian Americans are well represented in Silicon Valley, few have risen to the ranks of management.
At Yahoo, the workforce is 45% Asian and 46% White. Executives are 382% more likely to be White.
At Linked In, the workforce is 46% Asian and 47% White. Executives are 205% more likely to be White.
At Intel, the workforce is 33% Asian and 52% White. Executives are 417% more likely to be White.
At Google,the workforce is 33% Asian and 60% White. Executive are 34% more likely to be White.
