Many are being pushed out of the city.

The recent closure of the longstanding Empress of China building in Chinatown is to some symbolic of a larger issue facing the city. The building has been empty since the start of the New Year. There’s even talk the building in the heart of Chinatown could be taken over by the tech industry.
