Margaret Cho makes her debut as Ken’s sister Wendi on Dr. Ken this Friday on ABC.
Like her TV brother, Wendi is a successful doctor, but unlike Ken (Ken Jeong), she is also a television celebrity. Wendi hosts her on medical talk show.
When she comes to visit the family, the insecure Ken does his best to hide his jealousy from the family and himself. The plot comes to a boiling point when Ken is invited to appear on Wendi’s talk show.
In a videotaped interview released by ABC, Jeong talks about how he wouldn’t be a comedian today without the pioneering work of Margaret Cho. Other cast members also talk about Cho’s influence on their professional careers.Dr. Ken airs at 8:30 p.m. Friday nights/7:30 Central.
