It was one of the most talked about secrets in the television season. Fans who were mourning the apparent death of Glenn on The Walking Dead got the answers they’ve been clamoring to get Sunday night.
When we last saw Glenn (Steve Yeun) three episodes ago, the baddest ass Asian on television had fallen into a dumpster after Nicholas (Michael Traymor) shot himself in the head. Nicholas’ body tumbled into a dumpster and takes Glenn down with him. The Walkers are there seemingly waiting to feast on Nicholas’ remains and have Glenn for dessert. The fans last image is of blood splattering on the camera, never a good sign.
SPOILER ALERT– STOP READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT.
Glenn it seems managed to crawl under the dumpster, and out of the grasp of the Walkers. Episode 7, Heads Up, begins by showing Glenn indeed still has his head in tact and is a breathing, living human being.
The first thing he wants to know, after devouring a bottle of water, is what happened to Maggie (Lauren Cohan), his pregnant wife who made Glenn distinct from most other Asian male characters on television and the movies. You see what made Glenn special is not only does he kick butt, but he gets the girl too. Despite his near death experience, the love of his life is still the most important to him. All together now…awww.
Fans were relieved and perhaps annoyed at the same time–not at Glenn’s love for Maggie, but at the way his fate unfolded.

On The aftershow, Yeun, who didn’t make the customary farewell appearance after his supposed death, did this time appear via satellite.
SPOILER ALERT: If you don’t want to know what Glenn said, stop reading.
“I feel relieved, I feel very grateful, I feel so amazed at the response,” Yeun said about the mystery. “I feel bad that I couldn’t say anything to everyone, family, friends. I’m pretty sure I lost some friends along the way. It’s kind of been overwhelming.”
