Raymond Shrimp Boy Chow faces a life prison term after being convicted by a federal jury of all 162 criminal counts, reports ABC7 News.
Among the charges, murder, conspiring to kill another rival, money laundering and trafficking.
The jury convicted Chow of ordering the killing of Alan Leung, the then head of the Chee Kung Tong, a group Chow would take over, and according to the prosecution, run as a criminal enterprise.
The defense has already indicated it plans to appeal. Defense attorney Tony Serra described his client’s reaction to the verdict.
“He was calm. He was almost Buddistically acceptive of the consequence,” said Serra.
The prosecution did not comment after the verdict.
