Let’s face it. It’s tough for a family comedy featuring young children to make it on television if the children aren’t endearing.
Nearing the end of its second season, the young ones on Fresh Off the Boat have proven they’ve passed the test. There’s no Asian F for these kids.
Hudson Yang Jr, Ian Chen, Forrest Wheeler and Luna Blaise manage to be endearing without an overdose of saccharin.
Their comic timing at times is outstanding. They provide some of the best laughs on the hit Tuesday night comedy.
Now the industry is recognizing their accomplishment by awarding them the Ensemble Award at the 37th annual Young Artist Awards. Blaise was recognized for her recurring role in the 14 -21 age category.
Hudson’s dad, Jeff, who celebrated his birthday this week, shared the exciting news on Facebook.
Hudson, Forrest and Ian won Best Ensemble at the Young Artist Awards! Trevor Larcom and Evan Hannemann accepted on their behalf! #freshofftheboat
