A 5-year-old-girl and her parents were killed in a triple homicide Thursday in a wealthy neighborhood in the Southern California coastal city of Santa Barbara, reports KEYT.
The victims were identified as 57-year-old Dr. Weidong Henry Han, his wife 29-year old Huijie Yu, who was known as Jennie, and their five-year-old daughter Emily Han.
The attack is not believed to be random and police have said very little, including how the family died.
The bodies were discovered during a welfare check by police.
A family friend identified as Isaiah Oregon was visibly shaken at the scene. He said the family had not been answering phone calls.
Oregon said he would pick Emily up from school everyday and loved her more than anything else.
Henry Han owned a Chinese herb clinic in Santa Barbara.
