Violence is not the answer for America. It is a recipe for disaster.
Just as innocent African Americans should not be killed by police; so too innocent police officers should not be killed by police protestors.
Our country needs to alter a climate of hate and distrust to begin a dialogue of reconciliation. A dialogue that can begin with what we agree on: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; freedom of speech and freedom of religion; the right to trial by jury not street executions be they in Baton Rouge or Dallas. This dialogue must be done respectfully and calmly waiting for facts to come out and one where we truly listen to one another’s opinions and not dissolve into the acrimony of judgmental self righteousness.
There are a minority of haters on both sides who are dividing all of us We must not let them drag us down a dangerous path that will be filled with tragedy.
