The actor will play a great White savior who rescues all of China.
He received plenty of questions about it at New York’s Comic Con from the media this weekend.

“If people see this movie and feel there’s somehow whitewashing in this creature feature that we made up, I will listen to that with my whole heart,” Damon is quoted as saying by the New York Daily News.
“I will think about that and learn from that.
“But I will be surprised if people see this movie and have that reaction. I will be genuinely shocked.”
The Great Wall is a joint production from companies in both China and Hollywood. It also stars Chinese actors Andy Lau and Tian Jing.
Damon called reaction to his movie a “f***ing bummer.”
