A well known former local basketball coach at the Alpine Recreation Center in Los Angeles Chinatown has entered a plea of no contest to sexually molesting one of his players, reported the Los Angeles Daily News.
Prosecutors say Tony Wong, 62, abused the boy in 2004 when the boy was 14.
Wong faces a two year sentence in state prison and will be forced to register as a sex offender.
“The prison time wasn’t important to me,” the victim who asked not to be named said. “I just wanted to make sure that Tony is never allowed to be around kids the same way ever again.”
According to Patch, Wong was arrested in July.
