Reports indicate that Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the gunman in the Las Vegas shooting, is being interviewed by the FBI in Los Angeles.
ABC7 News reports that the interview is taken place at the field office of the FBI.
Danley landed at Los Angeles International Airport last night, although she has managed to keep out of the public eye and has not been spotted by the media.
She was reportedly met at the airport by FBI agents, but is not believed to be in custody.
It is not uncommon in cases of high media interest that authorities will help shield their witnesses from the media. She was reportedly taken out of the airport through a side exit.
Authorities want to know what Danley knows about the rampage and what may have set off her boyfriend, Stephen Paddock.
The two lived together in a retirement home outside of Las Vegas. It is believed that Paddock sent her away prior to the shooting.
Danley has told her family that she has a “clean conscious,” according to her brother.
The New York Times reports investigators are trying to find everyone and anyone who “cross paths” with the gunman who shot and killed himself before officers busted into his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel where he was firing from the 32nd floor.
59 people were killed and more than 500 people were injured in the rampage.
Authorities are calling Danley a “person of interest, but have not called her a suspect in this case.
