Mel B got a spooky surprise on the latest episode of America’s Got Talent 2018. Enter The Sacred Riana. Her stage persona is reminiscent of Samara from The Ring or Kayako from The Grudge. She also clutches what appears to be an aged doll. The magician, dressed in blood-red clothing, twitches constantly onstage as though possessed by an outside force, unnerving the judges before she even began her act.

Her magical-horror act started off with a newspaper article depicting an alleged fire that claimed an entire studio, a fiery murder-suicide resulting in twelve deaths. The Sacred Riana then had Mel B choose which victim was the initial murderer, taking a picture of Mel B for safe-keeping. Choosing “Bob”, Mel B shrieked when the illusionist turned her still-developing photograph over, revealing an ethereal Bob standing directly over Mel B’s shoulder, supposedly watching her.

According to the Jakarta Post, the Sacred Riana was actually born Marie Antoinette Riana Graharani, and hails from Indonesia. She previously won Asia’s Got Talent in 2017, impressing the judges with her equally terrifying performances.
