A brutal beating in San Francisco is sending shock waves throughout the Bay Area, reports ABC7.
88-year-old Yik Oi Huang was found bloodied and badly beaten in a park following a burglary at her home. Police are not certain the two incidents are related. The family’s concern is focused on their grandma.
“We don’t recognize her. She still has not come out of a coma,” said one of Oi Huang’s granddaughter’s who asked to remain anonymous. “She is still in critical condition– the level of brutality against this elderly woman that can’t defend herself. I don’t know who in their right mind could have done this to her.”
Police have not revealed if anything was taken from the home. but they found the door ajar.
“There were no witnesses or video, at that moment, to reveal exactly what happened, so all avenues are open, ” said Capt. Jack Hart, Ccmmander of SFPD’s Ingleside Station, to KTVU.
