Born in South Korea, raised in the United States, but now back home in Korea, Annie Ko defies expectations.
The 38 year old is half of the electro rock beat of Love X Stereo from Seoul. Ko moved to the United States at age 6, but returned to South Korea for good ten years later.
Love X Stereo recently released Zero One, the theme song for the short film of the same name. Despite K-Pop’s worldwide popularity, Ko has chosen to establish her own sound with former skate punk rocker Toby Hwang.
DJ Mimi Chen recently chatted with Ko about her decision to stay away from K-Pop and her love hate relationship with social media.
