For the second time in just months, vandals struck at the Comfort Women Memorial in Glendale near Los Angeles, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The Korean American Forum of California erected the statue in 2013 to draw attention to the forced sex slavery of women by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II.
The vandals used black marker to deface the statue from head to toe. Several flower pots were also overturned.
Police in Glendale released surveillance video of a hoodie clad suspect, reported CBS Los Angeles.
Vandals last struck in July by marring the statue with an unknown substance, according to ABC7 News. Similar statues placed around the country have met with controversy from some who deny the sex slavery ever took place.
