Apple TV+ will present a first look at M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant at Comic-Con in New York this October, Deadline reports.
According to Apple, Servant is a psychological thriller that follows a mourning couple after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage, opening the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. On Twitter, the filmmaker known for The Visit and Sixth Sense wrote that working on the Apple original has been “one of the most incredible creative experiences.”
Deadline reports that the October 3 first look at Comic-Con will also include a discussion with executive producer Shyamalan and the show’s creative team and cast. Cast members set to attend include Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones) and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter).
With content added monthly, Apple TV+ will launch on November 1. According to Apple, the video subscription service will provide a lineup of original shows, movies and documentaries for a $4.99 monthly fee.
Ahead of its premiere, two ominous teasers for Servant have been released. One features a CGI baby rocking in front of a television and the other shows a young woman watching a cricket crawl out of a bathtub drain.
Servant, like many of Shyamalan’s past films, was shot and set in Philadelphia. But it’s not the only project the filmmaker’s been working on. According to Entertainment Weekly, he is also set to release two thriller films in 2021 and 2023 for Universal.
