Comic and political commentator Hasan Minhaj devoted an entire episode of Patriot Act on Netflix to the Asian American vote.
It’s not a topic you can easily find on most newscasts, let alone a show about political hot topics of the week.
Minhaj manages to both entertain and inform, and in the process he just might make you smile. He talks about the role Asian Americans played in turning red districts blue. He spoke about the Yang gang and took on Andrew Yang for reinforcing the model minority stereotype. He called out Asian Americans for not going to the voting polls in greater numbers. He even joked with Cory Booker about public displays of affection and how some candidates pander to Asian Americans. Indian American supporters of Indian Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump also received his attention too.
The episode was released this morning in Netflix. Check it out below.
