Indian American protesters call for boycott of China

Indian Americans from both New York and New Jersey held a demonstration in Time Square Friday calling for a boycott of China.

They are protesting the Chinese aggression against India and the killing of 20 Indian soldiers in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley last month by Chinese soldiers, reported The Daily Excelsior.

They chanted ‘Boycott Made in China’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Stop Chinese Aggression.’ Tibetan and Chinese demonstrators also joined the protest holding signs that read ‘Tibet stands with India’, ‘Stop Chinese Abuse’, ‘Justice for human rights, minority religions, Hong Kong’, ‘China out of Tibet’, ‘China stop crimes against humanity’ and ‘Boycott Chinese Products,’ according to the Times of India.

“We are sending a strong message to China. The Indian community around the world is standing with its homeland,” community leader Prem Bhandari said to The Times of India.
