Anti-China remarks prompt reporter to call Senator a b*tch

Relations between the United States and China show no signs of warming during the waning days of the Trump administration.

A reporter from China’s state sponsored media responded with a blunt one word answer on Twitter after a GOP Senator accused China for cheating for 5,000 years.

“China has a 5,000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change,” US Sen Marsha Blackburn tweeted.

“B*tch,” came the response from Chen Weihua, a reporter with China State Affiliated Media.

It all started with the Senator joining the condemnation of the slave labor of the Muslim Uighur ethnic minority in the Xinjiang region.

The alleged atrocities by China has come under increased scrutiny by Congress. American corporations including Nike and Coca Cola have been accused of lobbying behind the scenes to quiet such criticism. Skeptics say that’s because the companies benefit from such cheap labor.

Another China affiliated state reporter also jumped in to fend off attacks on China from Blackburn.

The tweets from both Ji Tao and Chen Wihua may be signs China is beginning to feel the international pressure and increased attention on its practices in Xinjiang.

On Thursday, protests are planned around the world by Uyghurs, Tibetans, Hong Kongers, and Mongolians against China’s human rights abuses. Demonstrations are planned in Washington, DC, New York City, Toronto, Paris, Tokyo, The Hague, and Australia.
