Hundreds marched through Downtown San Francisco Friday in a demonstration organized by mostly Asian American college students and groups.
“If you want something done, you have to do it yourself.” An Vo, President of the San Francisco State University Vietnamese Student Association, told AsAmNews.
The day began with a rally at Union Square in the heart of Downtown San Francisco.
They then marched down Market Street through the Financial District and ending up at the Embarcardero Plaza.
“Tell me what you want you really really want,” they chanted.
“JUSTICE.”
“And how are we gonna get it?”
“PEOPLE POWER.”
Organizers described the Asian American community as “distraught, heartbroken, and exhausted.”
