Fresh off his award for Best Young Performer from the Critics Choice Award, Alan Kim will be joining the cast of Awkwafina’s Nora from Queens on Comedy Central.
TV Line is reporting the 8-year-old Kim will play Nora’s dad Wally when he was a child. Wally, in his present day version, is portrayed by Tony winning actor BD Wong.
According to MXDWN, Nora from Queens is currently in production.
Kim has drawn raves for his performance in the critically-acclaimed Minari.
He recently received a BAFTA ( British Academy of Film and Television Arts) nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He is the youngest nominee in BAFTA history.
He’s also up for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture.
Since his Critics Choice win, Kim has made numerous appearances on talk shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Today and Ellen.
