Jamie Chung showed up at the SAG Awards in a stunning red dress and a matching Stop Asian Hate purse for Sunday pre-recorded ceremony.
“Tonight’s color symbolizes luck, joy and happiness,” the actress wrote on her Facebook page. “Thank you Sarah Kim and Fernando Garcia for letting me wear this gorgeous dress @oscardelarenta for the @sagawards.”
According to People, she wore an Oscar de la Renta midi dress and lace-up heels.
Her clutch came from Edie Parker with a custom message- “Stop Asian Hate” emblazoned in gold.
“A lot of Asian Americans experience imposter syndrome, always feeling like, ‘You don’t really belong here,” she told PopSugar last month, according to NBC Dallas. This isn’t your country. You’re lucky to be here, you should work really hard and bite the bullet.’ It’s really unfortunate.”
Chung was up with the rest of the Lovecraft Country cast for Best Ensemble in a drama. The show also received a nomination for Best Stunt Ensemble but fell short in both categories losing to The Mandalorian in the stunt category and The Crown in the other category.
