Former New England Patriot Patrick Chung pleaded not guilty this week to domestic assault, reports NJ.com.
Prosecutors allege Chung slapped a woman in the face and pushed her to the ground outside her home in Milton, MA.
“Patrick’s behavior has been erratic for a very long time,” his accuser who was not identified said in court, according to The Hill. “His behavior was volatile, it was hostile. It seemed premeditated.”
Chung’s fiancee spoke on his behalf during the court proceedings, accusing the other woman of starting the confrontation as he tried to leave her home.
CBS News reports paramedics evaluated the woman after the altercation but determined she did not need medical treatment.
The court released Chung from Custody after he posted $10,000 bail. Judge Neil Hourihan granted a restraining order against Chung.
Chung is also under orders to undergo periodic drug testing after a previous cocaine possession charge which was dropped in New Hampshire.
