A Las Vegas man has been arrested in connection with an alleged anti-Asian hate crime, KVVU-TV reports.
The owner of Cloud Boba Tea, who is Chinese, was attacked last Friday, January 21, around midnight.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a man entered the restaurant and began yelling mostly slurs against Asians, KTNV reports. When the owner came out from the back, the suspect attacked him.
The attack left the owner with serious injuries. His wife says he did not remember what happened when he woke up in the hospital, KVVU-TV reports.
Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the crime. He faces several charges including attempted robbery and battery motivated by bias or hatred toward the victim, KVVU-TV reports.
