Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings wasn’t just a hit with fans. It’s also a hit with critics.
The Critics Choice Association honored the first Marvel film to feature a predominantly Asian cast with 5 Super Awards nominations, reported the Daily News.
Stars Tony Leung and Simu Liu will face off against each other for Best Actor in a Superhero Movie. Leung also received a nomination for Best Villain.
Michelle Yeoh received recognition in the Best Actress in a Superhero Movie category and the Critics Association named the movie in the category of Best Superhero Movies.
Shang-Chi tied for most nominations with Spider-Man No Way Home.
“Every single nomination is so well-deserved…except mine,” said Liu on Twitter. What were they thinking. No, seriously, it’s a huge honor, but HOW. So proud of our amazing cast and everyone who came out to watch the film. I really hope Tony wins everything.:
The winners will be announced on March 17, reported the Belfast Telegraph.
