Police have taken a person of interest believed to be involved in the attack on seven different Asian women across Manhattan into custody, ABC 7 reports.
Between 6:30 p.m. and 7:40 pm. on February 27, a man is said to have attacked seven Asian women from the Lower East Side to Midtown. He allegedly punched or elbowed the Asian women during the attacks.
On Wednesday morning, March 2, police took a 29-year-old man from Florida into custody after he was spotted at New York Public Library, ABC 7 reports. He briefly barricaded himself in a bathroom before being taken away by the police.
Charges against the man taken into custody are pending.
