The ASCAP Pop Awards has named Olivia Rodrigo “Songwriter of the Year.”
The win comes after Rodrigo received three Grammy Awards over a week ago.
Every year The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers recognizes the top songwriters, producers and publishers in pop music. This year the ASCAP will announce the awards for 2021 during a virtual show that will span from April 11 to April 14, Billboard reports.
“Songwriter of the Year” is one of ASCAP’s top honors. Rodrigo won the award for her work on “Deja Vu,” “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U,” Variety reports.
She accepted the award in a video posted to ASCAP’s social media accounts.
“Songwriting is my favorite thing in the whole world, and it means so much to be recognized in this way by such a talented group of songwriters,” she said in the video.
