Senior citizen brutally beaten in cell phone rob in SF

A 70-year-old San Francisco woman is speaking out after four men viciously kicked her in the head and savagely beat her to steal her cell phone.

The woman who asked only to be identified as Mrs. Ren spoke exclusively to Dion Lim of ABC7 News.

It happened Sunday when the men approached her asking for the time.

Not sure they would understand her, Ren showed them her watch. That’s when they began patting her body in an apparent effort to discover what else she had on her possession.

“They search my body and I quickly realize they’re up to no good,” she said through an interpreter.

Ren tried to get into the elevator, but says the men stopped her.

The Post Millenial reports they pulled her out and pushed her to the ground and proceeded to beat her.

She managed to get up and ran to the hallway where she tried to hide. The men assaulted her again.

“They used their fist to hit my head multiple times and then they pulled me down and kept kicking me,” she said to ABC7.

She remains bedridden. She said Sunday was one of the few days she ventured to go outside since the pandemic.

Ren is so traumatized she said she still has trouble sleeping.

“I want this story to come out so people know and so for other people to be aware to be safe.”
