Popular streamer and OfflineTV member LilyPichu announced on Twitter that she would be voicing a character in Riot Games’ digital card game, Legends of Runeterra.
Lily will be voicing a character who is a follower of the Wuju Order and a loyal disciple of Doran as the name suggests, according to OneEsports.
GameRant reports the character is not a new champion to the game but is instead a common card in the Worldwalker expansion set. The card can then be pulled from any of the game’s card packs.
This is not her only voice acting role in a game. She has also voiced Sayu in Genshin Impact who is one of the game’s many playable characters.
Riot Games also has aimed for Asian representation within the game’s characters. For example, according to Manila Standard, Riot Games launched the VALORANT Agent Neon Project in order to “drive inclusivity that transcends race, culture, geography, socio-economic class, gender and age.”
Agent Neon was the first character of Filipino and Southeast Asian descent introduced to VALORANT. This character project recently won a gold Stevie award in the PR Campaign of the Year (Gaming & Virtual Reality category) at the 2022 International Business Awards.
“As a playable in-game agent, Neon is truly a love letter to our amazing Filipino players and also a kudos to our Asia Pacific communities in the name of inclusivity, diversity, and representation,” Head of Communications & Channels of Riot Games Jem Loh said in Manila Standard.
