Fans of the 1980s hit Gremlins can get excited about the release of the official trailer for Gremlins Secrets of Mogwai.
Many notable Asian Americans are part of the animated series from Max. They include Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong and Izaac Wang.
Sandra Oh, Randall Park, George Takei, and Bowen Yang are set to guest star.
Judging from the trailer, the series will lean heavily on Chinese folklore.
According to All Hallows Geek, Gremlins Secrets of Mogwai is set in 1920s Shanghai where the Wing family encounters the mogwai named Gizmo. Mr Wing agrees to take Gizmo home and goes on an adventure through the treacherous Chinese countryside.
They are later joined by a teenage street thief name Elle and together battle monsters and spirits, including an army of Gremlins.
Gremlins Secrets of Mogwai debuts on May 23 on the new streaming service Max.
