Three men have been arrested in connection with burglaries targeting Asian American family homes in Snohomish County, Washington.
According to KOMO News, detectives from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) believe that the three suspects are part of a crime group that is responsible for more than 200 burglaries in western Washington since 2021. The burglaries have resulted in the loss of over $4 million in cash and jewelry.
Detectives believe the burglaries targeting Asian American family homes in Snohomish County began back in November 2021, KIRO 7 reports. They found 20 “very similar crimes” in the area since that month.
“Through an extensive investigation, including search warrants, video evidence, physical evidence, undercover operations and cellular data analysis, detectives from the Sheriff’s Office RBU unit, Lynnwood PD, Bellevue PD, King County Sheriff’s Office, Bellingham PD and Homeland Security Investigations developed probable cause for multiple counts of first-degree Residential Burglary and second-degree Robbery,” the SCSO wrote in a press release, according to KOMO News.
The suspects were taken into custody on Thursday, June 22, and booked into King County jail, KOMO News reports. According to KIRO 7, they are facing counts of first degree residential robbery and second degree robbery.
