Jordan Clarkson to represent the Philippines at FIBA World Cup

Jordan Clarkson, who plays for the Utah Jazz in the NBA, will represent the Philippines at the FIBA World Cup.

According to Phil Star News, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio confirmed to the Phil Star’s Bryan Ulanday that Clarkson would suit up for the Gilas Pilipinas (the Philippines men’s national basketball team).

The FIBA Basketball World Cup will start on August 25 and run until September 10. Clarkson is set to join the Gilas on August 6.

The 31-year-old has played for the Philippines before. He helped the team immensely during World Cup Qualifiers in 2022. In two games, he had 25.0 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds, ABS CBN reports.

Clarkson also recently signed a 3-year $55 million extension with the Utah Jazz.
