Theater actress Eva Noblezada has been chosen to star as the lead in Paper Mill Playhouse’s forthcoming production of The Great Gatsby, inspired by one of the world’s most iconic novels written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Noblezada, who is a Filipino American actress, would be portraying the lead female character named Daisy Buchanan, ABS-CBN News reported.
In the announcement released on July 25th by Paper Mill Playhouse, a theater located in Milburn, New Jersey, Noblezada will be acting alongside Jeremy Jordan who will play Jay Gatsby.
“The Great Gatsby will run October 12–November 12, 2023,” Paper Mill Playhouse stated in their Instagram post announcing Noblezada and Jordan as the two leads. Tickets will be on sale August 14th, according to PhilSTAR Life.

Noblezada is a 27-year-old actress and singer known for her work in the Broadway musical Miss Saigon, where her performance as Kim earned her a Tony nomination for Best Actress. She earned another Tony nomination for her role as Eurydice in Hadestown. She has a Filipino father.
