Meet the man who likely discovered Matthew Perry’s body

Friends say the personal assistant who lived with actor Matthew Perry until his tragic death likely discovered his body.

The Daily Mail reports people described as close to the star say Kenny Iwamasa helped manage Perry’s affairs for 25 years.

It’s said he lived with Perry in a rented apartment for a year before moving back to the actor’s $6 million dollar home in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood following the completion of renovations.

It was at that home where Perry’s body was found in the hot tub.

Iwamasa’s LinkedIn profile described his job working with Perry as “executive assistant to personal manager responsibilities for 25 years for client Matthew Perry.”

According to The Blast, Perry only got to live in his renovated home for a month before his passing. Reports had previously indicated a personal assistant discovered Perrys’ body, leading people to believe that person is Iwamasa.

The actor’s former landlord described Iwamasa as “an individual living with Perry and monitoring him.”

Perry had a second assistant, but that person left for another job months before Perry’s death.

While it was widely known he had a drug problem, friends say he had been sober when he died.

Iwamasa’s LinkedIn profile describes him as currently working with Doug Chapin Management as a talent manager for six years and as an executive assistant to the president since 1994.

  1. Kenneth Iwamasa has been arrested in connection with Matthew’s death. I hope it’s something that stays in his soul for the rest of his life and that he never leaves prison. What a sorry human being.
