There’s still no sign of a California man swept into the ocean waters off Kapalua in Maui, reports SF Gate.
Scuba divers searched the waters while helicopter crews flew overhead for any sign of the 42-year-man who has been missing since Monday.
The Coast Guard has also joined the rescue efforts, according to Hawaii News Now.
Rescuers described the conditions as “very rough.”
There’s no word on how long the search will continue.
A report from the Star Advertiser indicates the man jumped off the rocks in the “Cliffhouse” area and was washed out to sea.
Rain and dangerous search has hampered the search efforts with waves as tall as 25 feet.
