The Pulitzer prize-winning novel The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen will be coming to HBO April 14.
The seven-episode limited series will feature Sandra Oh and Robert Downey Jr. and stars Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Phanxine, Vy Le, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong.
It can be seen on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max.

It’s described as an espionage thriller with cross-cultural satire. It will focus on the difficulties a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the last days of the Vietnam War and his adjustment to life as a refugee in Los Angeles.
It’s a co-production between HBO, A24, and Rhombus Media, produced in association with Moho Film and Cinetic Media.
