Olivia Rodrigo’s “Sour” is now the most streamed album by a female artist in Spotify history.
According to Digital Music News, the album has amassed 12.32 billion Spotify streams since it was released nearly three years ago.
Rodrigo officially broke the record on Thursday, May 16. She thanked the people who helped produce “Sour” in an Instagram post, People Magazine reports.
“Every song is so personal and close to my heart. getting to share them with people is the most special thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Rodrigo wrote. “Thank u to everyone who made this album happen.”
“Lastly thank you to Dan Nigro for making this entire body of work with me in his garage lol,” Rodrigo added. “His undeniable talent and undying belief in me has forever changed me as an artist and a person.”
