‘Bad Genius’ to be released in theaters this Friday

A new movie called Bad Genius will hit select theaters this Friday, October 11.

According to a press release, the movie follows Lynn, “a brilliant scholarship student, who devises an ingenious cheating scheme to help her friends ace their exams.”

Callina Liang, an up-and-coming actress who previously appeared in Steven Soderbergh/Neon’s Presence, plays Lynn. Jabari Banks and Benedict Wong star alongside her.

Bad Genius was directed by JC Lee, who writes and directs for film, television and theater. Lee is known for directing Luce, a movie starring Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer that made its debut at Sundance in 2019.
